Discover Taiwan Cafe

When you think about a place that combines the warm, welcoming vibes of a local diner with the unique flavors of Taiwan, Taiwan Cafe is the spot that comes to mind. Located at 2747 W 15th St in Plano, TX, this cozy haven brings authentic Taiwanese dishes right to your plate, giving you a taste of something special that you won’t easily find elsewhere in the area.

Walking into Taiwan Cafe, you’re instantly greeted with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The decor is simple yet inviting, with subtle touches of Taiwan's rich culture sprinkled throughout. Whether you're there for a casual lunch with friends or a family dinner, the ambiance feels just right. But of course, the real star of the show is the food, and Taiwan Cafe doesn’t disappoint.

Their menu is a delightful mix of traditional Taiwanese comfort food and a few modern twists. From the moment you glance at it, you know you're in for a treat. One standout dish is the Beef Noodle Soup, a Taiwanese classic that has gained global popularity. At Taiwan Cafe, this dish is prepared with the perfect balance of tender beef, rich broth, and soft noodles. Every spoonful transports you to Taiwan, with each flavor carefully layered to give a deep, comforting taste. It’s the kind of dish that leaves you wanting more, yet it's so satisfying you can't imagine finishing it too quickly.

For those looking for something a little lighter, the Taiwan Cafe’s selection of dumplings is a must-try. Steamed to perfection, each dumpling is filled with a burst of flavor, with fillings ranging from savory pork to delicate shrimp. The dumplings have that perfect bite, with a soft outer layer and juicy interior, making each one a treat. Pair it with a dipping sauce, and you’ve got a dish that’s both comforting and delicious.

But Taiwan Cafe doesn’t just focus on traditional Taiwanese fare. They also offer a variety of fusion dishes that blend Taiwan’s culinary tradition with other Asian influences. A personal favorite is their Taiwanese-style fried chicken, which has been seasoned with a mixture of spices and then deep-fried to crispy perfection. The crispy exterior gives way to tender, flavorful chicken inside, and the savory seasoning keeps you coming back for more.

In terms of beverages, Taiwan Cafe offers a variety of bubble teas, each made with high-quality tea and customizable toppings. Whether you prefer classic tapioca pearls or want to mix things up with something like aloe vera or grass jelly, there’s something for everyone. Their drinks provide the perfect balance to the flavorful dishes, making your meal complete.

The service at Taiwan Cafe adds to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have about the menu. • This is a cash only restaurant. We came here for the breakfast, which is Saturdays and Sundays only from 11 to 2pm. We got the Scallion pancake with egg, 2 Salty rice roll, Salty soy milk, Sweet soy milk and a Baked pocket with beef. My favorite item was definitely the salty rice roll, followed the the sweet soy milk and then the scallion pancake with egg. I thought the food was kind of salty, so the soy milks were necessary. Very traditional Taiwanese styled breakfast.

  • This is a simple restaurant with decent food that is pre-made. You walk up and see the food behind the glass and they put the food on a platter. There are several types of meat and vegetable options. We ordered some greens, broccoli, eggplant, different styles of pork, and a tofu item... and of course rice. The platter is a great deal for the price. The taste is decent. We also got boba tea, but it was already sealed and refrigerated. It's not made to order. There is a complimentary seaweed soup you can scoop for yourself after you order. This is a CASH ONLY place.

  • Large portions for a value price!! Great food and a variety of drinks. There's a $10 deal for 3 choices of entrees and 2 scoops of rice. Note that they only accept cash.

  • The food here gives me the feeling of eating at a college cafeteria. They are super generous on the food so the portion you get is huge. If you dine in, there is also soup you can get it yourself. I think the soup changes daily because I have been here two times and already tasted two different types of soups. So many different dishes to choose from. One thing to note that this place is cash only. The place is big with lots of tables and seating areas. Very fast service as well.

  • I was amazed that you can enjoy food this good at such a reasonable price! You can pick three main dishes with the “Pick 3” option. I chose stir-fried beef with asparagus, tofu in mala sauce, and fried chicken. All three were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The flavors reminded me of what I’ve had in Taiwan. The fried chicken was quite similar to Taiwanese “Ji Pai.” Soup is self-serve and has an anchovy broth base. The black bean noodles have a strong fermented soybean flavor — more like the Chinese-style Zhajiangmian rather than the Korean version, with plenty of meat and vegetables. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of tables and chairs available.

  • What can I say other than go here and get some great food. You get ALOT of food for the price you pay (cash only). We had to get to go boxes and it looked like we barely touched our food. That's how much food it was for each dish!

  • I always have an amazing dining experience at Taiwan Cafe, I go twice a month! The tomato eggs are my favorite and they were perfectly seasoned, with a balance of sweetness and savory flavors that made each bite comforting and satisfying. The fiery fish was a standout dish—spicy, bold, and packed with flavor that left me craving more. The variety of dishes offered all had their own unique twists, showcasing authentic Taiwanese flavors. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, flavorful Taiwanese cuisine!
